The Acerreta valley
Borgo Corniola is situated between Ravenna and Florence, in the secluded Acerretta valley. To the east, it borders one of the oldest parks in Italy, parco del Casentino, a luxuriant pastoral landscape with woods of tall birches where the uncontaminated nature gives us emotional glimpses of wildlife.
Borgo Corniola is surrounded by ancient monastries, including the monastery of Gamogne, located in the centre of a magic triangle. A little over a kilometre away lies the Badia Valley, which dates back to the eleventh century, where you can find a delightful farmhouse serving delicious seasonal menus. Lutirano is also home to the Buddhist Vipassana centre, a site which attracts people from all corners of the world.
